The world of JULIANA

A realm to express myself. A reflection of experiences. A place where I can go on writing(typing) for hours until my thirst to tell a story in all its depth & details has been quenched and fulfilled.

Mid-year Crisis

OMG! Half of the year 2007 has already passed by !! How did that happen ? Feels like Christmas was just 2mths away. Gosh, I’ve been so disorientated with time. Was glancing thru’ my previous posts on my blog. Ermm, well, y-y-y-y-y-yes, I read my own blogs, just go get a quick preview of what I’ve written in the past, and of course, to reflect on those events tht I blog about, too. Since I did write in a post on my toothache-episode, i shall write in the conclusion to that horrifying nightmare.

In the end, after much persuasion from the dentist and loved ones who couldn’t bare to see me in such pain and tears, I decided to get the tooth removed. Nevertheless, after one failed attempt of gettin’ the dreadful tooth under local anesthesiae, I opted for a mini-dental surgery instead !! Got my stubborn wisdom-tooth removed whilst under COMPLETE SEDATION ! I still can’t believe I insisted to be completely sedated whilst havin’ a tooth (which was approximately 1.5cm in size) extracted ! In my defence, I ‘explained’ to my dentist that I was still in post-traumatic shock from the first failed attempt to try and extract my tooth at the other dentist. Even thinking ’bout it now gives me the chills. I shall never forget tht grinding sound as tht dentist tried removing my tooth, and worst of all, I could feel every damn thing? Why was that so? ‘Coz my gums were so darn swollen from the infection tht tooth caused, that the local anesthetic didn’t work!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr………

So toothache-saga is over, and hopefully it’ll never come backTooth to haunt me ever again. Havin’ that tooth removed under complete sedation was so pleasant an experience. The fact tht I woke up ‘all happy’ from the domicum was a plus-factor,too. Above all that, to see tht stubborn tooth sitting comfortably on de table, OUT from me, whilst i felt absolutely no pain was sheer delight. This only further consolidated my long-term childbearing plans in time to come. After havin’ see numerous deliveries over the years, and assisted in several, I’ve come to the conclusion tht when the time comes for me to deliver a baby, it’ll DEFINITELY be an elective caesarian section *giggles. That way, being the number-crazy-girl I am, I get to ‘pick dates’ and above all, I can ’sleep thru de journey’ and wake up with a cutie li’l baby nxt to me. :) . Gosh, i make it sound so easy, whislt am sure all my mother-friends who are reading this are thinking to themselves, " Hahahahah. . .wait till Jules goes thru’ de whole process, THEN she’ll know what itz ’bout" and are laughing out aloud! Oh well, I shall cross the bridge when I come to it.

For now, am just so relieved that the tooth-ache saga is over. The w’kend was quite exciting, but I shall reserve ‘that package of stories’ for my nxt blog entry. ‘Stay tuned folks’ ! *waves

Hie darling :) i still remember the whole incident of your ‘tooth-surgery’ episode. Don’t mind, I shared it with my cousins and they wondered how in earth someone, that too a doctor would actualy opt for sedation for a simple tooth-extraction! But than again, trust me, I did convince them than tooth-extraction is not just-another-simple procedure. Being the one who have had the crowning earlier on of the year, I completely understand the terrifying and abosloute horror of the anxiousness. nevertheless, My dentist was preety cute guy and that calmed me down a lot more than it should, and he was friendly and ofcourse, gentle with my tooth! :)
A hug and a thumbs up for my darling angel for actually able to go thru the surgery in a ’sleeping beauty’ style! :):)
