The world of JULIANA

A realm to express myself. A reflection of experiences. A place where I can go on writing(typing) for hours until my thirst to tell a story in all its depth & details has been quenched and fulfilled.

Caught in the act, red-handed !

Thieving in broad day-light~

My parents’ home has a huge mango tree and according to my calculations and ‘bio-analysis’ ,it bears fruits once in 10yrs! This year, our tree has been blossoming away with many, many fruits. Unfortunately, before we, the wise, intelligent, superior human beings can get our hands on those juicy, sweet mangoes, seems that there has been a bit of a competition to grab the fruits first! We have to ‘compete’ with red-ants (once they’ve bitten into the mangoes, the mango looks like it has ‘chicken-pox’…seriously!) , crows (they peck into our poor fruits and then leave ‘em all half-eaten hanging’ on the tree) and the most annoying Monkey_in_the_gardencompetitor would have to be the cheeky monkeys in the neighbourhood ! To those who think that having a home in B’sar is heavenly, think twice ‘coz B’sar is a haven for monkeys !! Itz a zoo out there! A few days ago, I had the golden opportunity of snapping some shots of ‘em on my handphone! I only have ‘boud 35% faith on the resolution of my h/p camera but still went ahMonkeys2ead and snapped many many pics of them caught red-handed. not that this bothered the monkeys a wee bit. I’ve enclosed two shots which I successfully took from my very own handphone!

Arranging fresh flowers on the dinner table

It’s still very much a hobby for me at present. From roses to sunflowers. I now have ANTURIUMS gracing my dining table! Aren’t they a joy to look at? They certainly make meAnturiums smile wheneva I pass by ‘em each day on my way out to work in the mornings! Next, I’m plannin’ on arranging fresh orchids. Once I do so, I’ll definitely snap some pics and put ‘em in ‘ere!

** These pictures are TINY. No worries. To get a clearer view of those nasty ‘thieves’, just click on the pictures, and a window will appear with a much larger view of the pics!

Reminds me of the little, mischievous, annoying creatures at the back of our house, akka… But, grabbing mangoes, uh..thats too much! Cant believe akka snapped those shots of monkeys, I bet Julie akka would have ran away if they were cats! ;-) *Wouldnt have noticed them in the pics if u hadnt circled them.

hehe…..u’re absolutely right, Catherine! if they were cats, i wouldn’t have had the guts to stand there and snap a pic! Robz Anneh says that itz an irony that I’m so afraid of ‘harmless’ cats whilst I dared to stare face-to-face at a ‘potentially harmful’ wild monkey!

Yes Patricia! The monkeys must’ve smelt the scent of blossoming mangoes in the air, which explains their presence! Evil cheeky creatures they are. Argh. Try and snap a photo of ‘em. Perhaps we could start a collection of ‘animals caught in action’ !! *laughs
