Dentist’s Verdict…
This is a continuation from yesterday’s blog on de severe toothache. It wasn’t so bad sitting on that ‘dreadful dentist chair’ in de end. As expected, my dentist confirmed that there was indeed a ‘huge cavity in the molar’ staring at him , and because the cavity was so huge, the nerve ends were exposed and that explains the horrifying nite of pain that I suffered. I was given a temporary cotton-based-cemented-over filling for the time being along with some antibiotics. I’ve got to go back to my dentist next week for the permanent filling. Hmmmm…..next week…..well well well….we’ll see how busy/free I am next week. Haven’t made that appointment at the dentist’s yet *winks cheekily

Oh yeah, yesterday evening was significant ‘coz for the first time our ‘home’ had friends for DINNER. All this while, friends come over for a drink, or just a chat, etc. This couple had planned to come over for such a long time (ermmm….since we moved in 5mths ago ) but Robz had been so busy with work and hence, we didn’t have time. Finally, the evening of ‘being a hostess’ arrived. Here’s de menu of our cuisine for the nite …all home-cooked! :-
1. Hainanese chicken rice ( you can get that li’l bottle of paste from TMC and it tastes just like the ‘chicken rice’ you buy in shops!)
2 Ginger Chicken (as the name suggests, stir-fry chicken with tiny pieces of ginger with soy-sauce and onions and pepper)
3. Vegetable Soup (added lots of cauliflower, baby corn, carrots and a few pieces of chicken
for de flavour)
4. Drinks : Fruit punch (aiyah, just ‘campurkan’ cordial juice with ice-cream soda/Sprite!)
5. Dessert : In my ‘healthier’ days, I had planned to make Kesari. However, in view that I still had about 20-30% remnant toothache lingering (Even after that ‘temporary filling’), decided to ’sacrifice’ de dessert dish. *sigh
Yeahhh, it wasn’t a VERY elaborate dinner, but at least, people did enjoy eating! Even Robz who usually adamantly stays away from rice had 2 helpings of rice! Hehe… It was so much fun laying out the table with the plates/soup bowls/forks/spoons,etc.
Hurrrrayyyyyy, itz Friday today! Tomorrow, my FIRST Piano Class begins. Oh yeah, did I mention that I’m giving Piano Classes in church frm March onwards? Oh gosh, that reminds me, I need to work on the ‘modules’ for my students. There’s a nice mix of children/teenagers/young adults in my group of ’students’! Am looking forward to the class. Would be interesting to see how many people turn up!!
Have a nice w’kend folks!
